Cherokee (aka Big Red) went to WV Friday 5/9/08. His mom new mom Tina writes:
Cherokee traveled perfect! I got a little jealous when I got home. He immediately took to my daughter and wanted to be everywhere she was. I said "hey....you have your Golden Retriever....he's mine!" Well...he loves me too, but he definitely likes my pretty teenager. My husband is quite smitten with him as well. Since he is so quiet, I think I might set his crate up in my bedroom. I've kept him separate from the other dogs for now..
He has been to potty three times out front....stays with me and my Shelties, and hasn't had an accident once yet! You should be commended on how you prepare your puppies for their new homes and I hope I can only match your abilities soon! You've definitely given me another goal to reach for.
I will send some pictures soon! Thank you again so much. He is so perfect!

Hershey is such a fantastic addition to my life. I could not be happier if I tried. He loves people and other dogs... and he likes to chase cats, but he doesn't hurt them. Poor Makenzie frequently has to bop him on the nose to make him give up his chase.
He bounces around full of sweet puppy vitality, and he's so beautiful! We love puppy classes together and he has "sit" down like a champ, every time I say it. He's still resisting "heel", but he doesn't pull on the leash as much... and practically rolls his eyes at me like a teenager when I tell him "down".
He's been basically house trained since I got him from you, with only a few accidents that were mostly my fault for not paying attention. Naturally he's in the puppy-chewing phase, but I've been careful and he's only managed to destroy my favorite pair of flip flops, otherwise he's good about sticking to his chew toys.
I love this little guy so very much, and you'll be relieved to know that I'm sure he feels the same about me now too! I'm attaching new pictures of him from Father's day. I just thought you'd like to see and hear how he is doing! Thank you so much!
