The Standard Poodle is proud, elegant, dignified and good natured. These dogs are highly intelligent and one of the most trainable breeds. They are pleasant, happy and sensitive. to be a bit calmer than the smaller variety of Poodles. They need to be with people and dislike being alone. For the most part they are generally friendly toward strangers, and are excellent with children. The Standard Poodle is good with other dogs. Some Standards are good guard dogs and can be trained as hunters.
Height—The Standard Poodle should be 15” or more.
Weight—Dogs 45-70lbs Bitches 45-60lbs
Mountain Gateway Standard Poodles is located in beautiful Southeastern Ok in the small town of Wister, the gateway to the majestic Kiamichi and Ouachita Mountains.
I have a small kennel operated out of my home. My dogs are not “kennel dogs” but a part of my family. I will never have so many dogs that I can’t play and interact with them daily. The puppies are well socialized before they are placed in their forever homes.

· I fell in love with the Standard Poodles when a friend gave me a male, Tiny. He is the light of my life and represents what is great about the breed. I started breeding Standards because they are the perfect breed.
